Get your bike ready for the road. Our cycle maintenance sessions offer fun and easy-to-follow training on how to make sure your bike is safe to ride.

Discover the basics and understand how to:

  • Fix a puncture
  • Adjust a saddle
  • Maintain brakes and gears
  • Give your bike a health check to make sure it is safe to ride
  • Recognise a fault you can't fix and know where to get it sorted

If this sounds like something you would like more information on then please email WestMidlands@cyclinguk.org to find out more about sessions local to you and how to book.

As part of the inclusive cycling sessions, the social aspect is just as important as the physical activity.

The session leads ensure they work to get to know the people attending to help them figure out which bikes they prefer, in addition to helping them get ready for their rides.

Whether it is a casual or more energetic ride, the session leads work to support and motivate all participants. This involves adjusting the bikes to suit everyone’s needs, providing encouragement, and sometimes accompanying participants on rides to ensure they feel safe and confident.

If you would like more information on these sessions including how to book please email parkride@midlandmencap.org.uk or call 0121 442 2944.
