Our apps

We have several apps to help you get around the West Midlands.

You can use the TfWM app to: 

  • Find your closest mode of transport 
  • See live departure information for bus, train and tram 
  • Plan ahead and use Google Maps to find the quickest route to your destination 
  • Find and purchase tickets, including child tickets 
  • Collect credit and tickets on your Swift card

Important information for iOS users

We are aware of an issue with the transport icons on the nearby map. You may notice that in some instances bus, train or tram icons disappear from the map. We are working to resolve this and apologise for any inconvenience.  

Whilst we fix the issue, please try the following possible solutions when navigating map stops: 

  1. Deselect and re-select the relevant transport filter. This resolves the issue for some users.  
  2. Once you find the stop you need, add this to your Favourites, and this can be viewed in the Favourites tab. 

You can use this app to collect credit and tickets to your Swift card.   

You can download the Swift Collector app from the App Store. You can access this on Android & iOS in the TfWM app. 

When you collect using the app, make sure you: 

  • have a phone that supports near field communication (NFC) and that NFC is switched on 
  • are connected to the internet on your phone 
  • hold the Swift card in the right place for your phone - this is usually on the top half of the back of your phone 
  • hold the Swift card against your phone for 10 seconds 
  • do not have a case that blocks the signal between your phone and Swift card  

If this does not work, use a Swift/Metro ticket machine or contact us

Make sure your phone is charged. If you cannot show your ticket, you will need to buy a new one. We cannot refund you.

You can use the MyMetro app to: 

  • Buy tram tickets on your phone (day, weekly, monthly fares) 
  • Get access to app-exclusive tickets and offers 
  • Plan your journey and check live tram times 
  • Save and manage your tickets in a ticket wallet 
  • Receive alerts / service updates 
  • Use your mobile as your ticket (show to conductors) 
  • Pay via debit / credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay

You can use the West Midlands Bus on Demand app to: 

  • Register and create an account 
  • Book a journey in the Coventry area 
  • Choose your destination and pick-up time (immediately or up to 7 days in advance) 
  • Pay for your trip by card in the app or with cash on board 
  • Add extra passengers to your booking (£1 each) 
  • Track your bus in real time 
  • Receive text reminders before your bus arrives
