Find out about electric vehicles

Driving an electric vehicle can help improve air quality. Electric vehicles are cheap to run and exempt from tax.

You can get a discount on some new electric cars, motorcycles and other vehicles. Find out which vehicles are eligible on the GOV.UK website.

Charge an electric vehicle

There are charge points at train stations and car parks across the West Midlands.

These train stations have charge points:

  • Bromsgrove
  • Longbridge
  • Solihull
  • Rowley Regis
  • Tile Hill
  • Yardley Wood

It costs £0.56p/kWh for electric vehicle charging at our Park and Ride sites.

Our charge points are part of the Mer Network. Find out more about how to use Mer chargers.

Mer Charging Network is Now Part of Be.EV

The Mer public EV charging network has been acquired by Be.EV.

Over the coming months, you’ll start to see Be.EV branding, pricing, payment systems, and customer support across all chargers. You can also visit the Be.EV website to view the full network and check live charger availability.
