Our latest drone footage captures the impressive progress across the Interchange and its surrounding public spaces.
Work on the forecourt is advancing rapidly with the reinforced bus stop areas now almost complete. The station will feature 14 bus stands while final stand numbers and timetable displays are being developed to make journeys as smooth and efficient as possible.

Inside the building, automatic doors have been installed to keep passengers comfortable year-round while study seating on both floors is now in place. Branding and signage have also been fitted, marking a significant milestone as the building transitions from a construction site to a fully functioning transport hub. Lighting tests beneath the canopy have now been successfully completed.
Outside, the amphitheatre-style steps and seating area are taking shape creating a welcoming space to relax and enjoy views of the castle.

The recessed area on the ground floor will soon house the Swift ticket machine making ticket purchases quick and convenient.
Taylor Woodrow is the main contractor for the project and construction has been underway since summer 2025. The interchange is set to open and be used by passengers in 2026.
