The new Dudley Interchange is a key part of the regeneration of Dudley town centre. It is creating a transport hub that will allow passengers to switch seamlessly between bus services and the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension.
Our scheme is just one in a series of major regeneration projects which are set to transform Dudley town centre. They will help connect residents to jobs, education and training opportunities as well as leisure and healthcare facilities.
Latest works
The Interchange build is now complete with internet access installed and tested.
Attention is now focused on the bus forecourt. Over the last few weeks, the staff welfare units have moved to allow HGV movement delivering the tarmac materials that needs to be built up in layers to add strength and durability.
The kerbs to the amphitheatre are being set and the space is starting to resemble the bus area in which they will do manoeuvres. All vehicle collision barriers are now in place.

The public areas are also taking shape. Seven planters have now been filled with greenery and seating on one side. Wooden triangular seats, will be positioned in the plaza area, another area to dwell and relax. The space will be dog-friendly and we have fitted a convenient dog utility area, similar to Birmingham New Street Station.

Taylor Woodrow is the main contractor for the project and construction has been underway since summer 2025.
The interchange is set to open and be used by passengers in 2026.
