Darlington Street, Wolverhampton

What’s happening?

To carry our improvement works, Darlington Street in Wolverhampton will be closed from Sunday 19 January until July 2025 in both directions between its junctions with Ring Road/Chapel Ash Island and Waterloo Road/School Street.

Diversion:

  • Vehicles will be diverted via Ring Road and Waterloo Road.

Cyclists:

  • Cyclists will need to use footway as Darlington Road cycle lane will be closed between the junctions of Ring Road/Chapel Ash Island and Red Lion Street. 

Buses:

During this closure, Darlington Street and School Street will not be served. Services will come into city via Salop Street; and services will exit the city via Waterloo Road and Ring Road.

  • Select Service 876
  • Banga Service 891
